What do you all think is the best auction site to sell notes through.
I know of Heritage Auctions, Lyn Knight, Manifest, Stack's Bowers, and ebay.
Curious on everybody's input.
thanks,

Depends on what you are selling. I would say ebay all the way. That said if you have true trophy notes that have been certified and with high values I would consider the established firms you have mentioned above. Keep in mind that the established firms will find a big audience for you, they have a following, but that said their fees are punishing on both ends and any note does find its top limit in the public arena. I would only go with them to eliminate the possibility of theft on ebay. I have never had a problem on ebay buying or selling but I have had to deal with the "high value claims" department as a buyer and I can tell you it can be stressful. As a seller I have had a number of chargebacks over the years and as long as you have proof of shipment there does not seem to be a problem. These instances have been for items under $100. I do not know how ebay or PayPal would handle a similar situation if the value were say, $5000? I don't know how willing they would be to cover this kind of claim. Nor would I know how they would look at a situation where a customer would open your carefully packaged registered insured shipment and claim the box was empty. I have gone so far as to carefully video the packaging of high end items...just in case.

thanks notehunter494.
ebay aside, which auction house would be the best to get the most cash in pocket.
