Hello,
I noticed a coin up for auction in the TCNC June event next week....lot # 863 is a Specimen 1948 penny...I am asking for help in determining if this coin meets the stated grade and what everyone here thinks of the coin in general...looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts...thanks!

Thanks for the replies, if anyone goes to view it I would be interested in hearing more, I won't be in attendance at the auction...

No luck, I wasn't the high bidder tonight on the 48 specimen penny...if anyone here got it congratulations and I would love to see more pictures of it...

i saw it in hand..be glad you weren't the highest bidder. the coin had some spots on the neck which although minor killed it for me. plus IMO the overall color wasn't satisfactory.
