For me, the fact that some of the letters were only half created with an intact rim is a bad sign:

it is supposed to be a ducaton of Philippr IV : 1621-1665 , dated 1650 , mint in Brabant , Antwerp or Brussels . I agree with Spence for the letters and the rim : normally it is a dotted rim.albert

Fake. Perfectly round with a modern rim.

Look for this rim appearance on a 17th century Dutch coin

For a coin that is supposed to sbow a lot of wear, how come there are no significant nicks and scratches?
Surface texture the same in the worn in the 'worn' high point areas as in the field between the lettering.
