Hello again Artstaz! The reverse is shelving MD, The obverse is besides the obvious damage is a very worn die state called Die Deterioration. Just spent the past two days trying to make some write-ups on MD, Doubled dies, Die wear...you can be the first to see if it helps you or not! See if any of this helps, I have more

Sorry, it's MD. If you look at the top left of the T, you will see where the doubling reduced the horizontal bar. If it was a Doubled Die, the doubling would have been in addition (increased the length of the bar).

Thank you both. I will keep this for reference Crazy. This will truly help. I guess I was a little confused between shelving on a double strike verses MD? I thought for sure the reverse look to me like a double strike, but I guess not... I will keep searching hoping for the first. With the tools that have been given to me, I will use them wisely. Thanks again to both of you.

Definitely keep searching! That sketch concerning the difference between normal, Machine Doubling and hub doubling (doubled die) is one I saved a while back from an old thread here (I believe a CCF member made it). It's a very good representation of what the differences are and even how each is created. Nice work, Crazyb0! I can't keep up with you folks using actual computers with peripherals to create graphics like that.

Actually the reverse is Strike Doubled (MD). It's flat and shelf-like. Ocala-Fla, use to use that sketch. I may have misspelled his name.

Coin masters, drawing was done by Chuck Daughtrey of coppercoins.com in 2013 or 2014. Angular perception really does convey the message!

I noticed you'd credited it to CopperCoins. He posted it a few times with no credits, so I figured it was his. I liked it too, and asked him if I could use it sometime. He didn't answer, so I thought that meant no or he didn't see my question. Daughtrey huh... multi talented man I guess.
