Hi gxseries,

I already enjoyed many times looking at the coins in your collection. You really have a great and interesting collection.

@Litotes: indeed: Switzerland is not among the 26. I "only" have 65 different types of that country. This number doesn't include the 1 rappen of the Helvetian Republic, nor the coins I have from the cantons of Bern (5 batzen), Genève (1 sol) and Neuchatel (4 kreuzer and 1/2 batzen).

65 for Switzerland is not at all bad, considering how seldom they change their types. I can't think of any other country with so few changes over such long time.

That's right, Litotes. And even when the Swiss perform a change of type, it is very minor, like changing from coin to medal alignment (in 1982) or adding a star for an extra canton (Jura) in 1983.
You mustn't be surprised I have only 36 different types of circulation coins, the balance being commemorative coins (5,10 and 20 francs).
It's the only country I know where you can find 19th century coins still in circulation (i.c. coins of 10 and 20 rappen). On my last holiday there, a few years ago, I received a 1881 20 rappen coin as change.
