I've got 177 different KM numbers from Great Britain (almost 2000 coins, not all different though)! I'd guess its my highest, but I most certainly did not go through all the countries to check all. This total includes subKMs though (i.e. KM816 and KM816a as different when the design remained the same, but metal composition changed)

Good question but I'll have to get back to you. It should only take me another 6 months or so to catalog my collection.

Hmmm... my database isn't rigged up to summarize by KM number, but I'll see what I can do.

Edit: Nope. I've apparently put the catalogue reference number in an "unsortable" database field.

I have 185 from Norway, but I suppose that is cheating since I am Norwegian. I have 128 from Russia which is second on my list. 95 from Sweden is third.

Oh no, I only have 39 different KMs from Norway, 68 from Sweden, and none from Russia (because they use Y#'s, not KMs).

Jays-Dad, I don't suppose anyone outside of Norway is going to beat me for mye home country. I also wany to say I am a little disappointed do se you focus so much more on Sweden...
As for Russia, I actually considered commenting the Ys instead of KMs, buy then I thought: Y bother?

Bart, that is nothing short of impressive.

Thanks, but it is the result of 40 years of collecting world coins. (I started when I was 9 years old, so I am not that old and cripple ) Considering the time spent, it is not that impressive. I have to admit it gets harder to find new types with the budget I can spend.

By the way: the counter for Norway in my collection stands at 59. So, there are a lot of types in the outside world waiting for me...

40 years? That does help. Still, not bad. Do you have a number for all places in the world combined? Mine is 3011. It's really more like 3025 now, I have fallen a little behind with updates.
I have 41 for Belgium, by the way, not including one for Liege. That places Belgium quite high up, in Europe they rank behind only Norway, Russia, Sweden, Denmark (74), Poland (67), Great Britain (65), Portugal (52) and Spain (46). Elsewhere only USA (54), Brazil (42) and Canada (42) are ahead.

At the moment my collection counts 9158 coins, since yesterday, when I received 4 Russian bimetallic 10 roubles coins and the new 10 and 50 kopeks in brass plated steel (instead of brass).
In my collection I have 26 countries with 100 or more different coins.
Still I can find new ones.

26 countries with 100+. Wow. I am going to take a bold guess that Switzerland is not among the 26...am I right? ;-)

It is heartening to know that 10000 is possible, I have lot more fun ahead of me :-)

You can check the Russian coin collection that I have on omnicoin - all I can tell is I simply lost track. Wouldn't be too surprised if it's a few hundred.
