I haven't uploaded for a while and today I noticed the image optimizer is different. My files are jpeg and under 300 but when I click on the green arrow to download after cropping, my curser just spins. Help

You're using Chrome v51 which is fairly old. I have v58 installed and it works fine.

I do not get a popup to choose where to to save it though like I do in Firefox. It downloads to the Chrome default location without notification.

You can change the setting in Chrome to fix this, and I highly advise you do to avoid drive-by downloads.

Click the "three-dot" menu on the right end of the tab bar. Click Settings in the drop-down. Scroll to the bottom of the new tab to Advanced and click to expand. Scroll down to Downloads. Select "Ask where to save each file before downloading."

Wow, yet another reason to HATE Microsoft browsers. They deliberately put Chrome and Safari in the user agent when it is no such thing.

This is the user agent your browser is sending, Outright lies.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.79 Safari/537.36 Edge/14.14393

I'm glad I stopped catering to MS browsers years ago. If I was still doing it, now they don't even let me detect it and cater to their horrible coding.

Rpuckett-
I had the same problem with Microsoft with the new image optimizer
but switched to Chrome and it now works fine.

Is it a lie if they believe it?

Yes. Chrome or Firefox, either is preferred. Both work fantastically with CCF.

I've been using Firefox for years now. While I do get some flak for that at work (most folks in my office use Chrome), it's never failed me, including on CCF and the new image optimizer. FWIW, Chrome always works fine for me as well, it's just personal preference for FF.

Ditch Edge immediately. It's horrible. I'd rather use IE over Edge.

Funny how they ditched IE because they knew it was junk only to release a worse one.
