Looks to be a misprint goes through the date but the date is not damaged. Looks like date is printed in the damage area.

It does look like a lamination error. From the pic, I can't tell if it's retained or peeled.

Nice find.

Put it in a flip or 2X2 to keep it safe.

As for it's value ... error coin prices are all over the place. Check ebay for similar items and the look at the SOLD prices to see what it is really worth.

I just checked the bay and sure enough, the prices are all over the place -- and some of the error coins are not error coins at all.

first misprints generally involves paper currency or stamps. Coins are better known as a strike or has been struck.

The current image is ok, but still difficult to make out if the LAM is retained or peeled when I enlarge on this end.

I'm leaning towards peeled after strike due to the dates appearance. Note the date would still be present under a thin to medium lamination.

If LAM is still attached, keep together for a better or cool packaged deal down the road. Thanks, Doug.

Thank you All. I am thankful for all information. The indent to the coin is deep and date should be missing

Yeah, definitely not a retained lamination.

Still, worth a few bucks.
