Received these two coins today & decided I'd like to share them with CCF. They're not particularly fabulous, but the lot of two cost me less than $10 so I'm quite alright with their condition.

The first is an AE Ant, Claudius II. Radiate bust / GENIVS EXERCI rev. with Z in field. Rome. Seller's attribution is RIC V 49 ex; Cardiff - Llanedeyrn Hoard (318/44)

This is a very thin little ancient with a weight of only 1.3 grams, on a 21.6mm flan, making me wonder at first if it's not an imitative, but I see no reason to question seller's provenance.

The other coin is an AE3 of Constans in a bit better shape but with a rough patch on the obv.

GLORIA EXERCITVS rev w/two soldiers holding standards with "o" and a dot centered in between the standards. Thessalonica, officina 4 (SMTS Delta). Seller's attribution is RIC VII Thess. 201 - 18mm flan weighing in at 1.95g.

I agree that you got a good price for these. I would be especially ginger with the first one. Being so thin and with pre-existing flan cracks, it may break apart if you don't use the kid gloves with it.

Two ancients, with identifiable features and, in the case of the Constans, a really nice reverse - for less the ten bucks? Good move, Adam. Well done. I wish coins in my collecting area were available for so little $$...

Can't recall ever finding a Claudius II with a Genius reverse. Nice pick ups!
