They're not particularly fabulous, but the lot of two cost me less than $10 so I'm quite alright with their condition. The first is an AE Ant, Claudius II. Radiate bust / GENIVS EXERCI rev. with Z in field. Rome. Seller's attribution is RIC V 49 ex; Cardiff - Llanedeyrn Hoard (318/44) This is a very thin little ancient with a weight of only 1.3 grams, on a 21.6mm flan, making me wonder at first if it's not an imitative, but I see no reason to question seller's provenance. The other coin is an AE3 of Constans in a bit better shape but with a rough patch on the obv. GLORIA EXERCITVS rev w/two soldiers holding standards with "o" and a dot centered in between the standards. Thessalonica, officina 4 (SMTS Delta). Seller's attribution is RIC VII Thess. 201 - 18mm flan weighing in at 1.95g. Comments & thoughts welcomed. Thanks for reading! Being so thin and with pre-existing flan cracks, it may break apart if you don't use the kid gloves with it.
