I am so used to non-metal coins (except for the 1943 LWC) that I was surprised when the magnet I keep on my desk snagged a couple of the coins I laid out. I was trying to research my German coins from when I was a kid to find out that they are magnetized.

Is this supposed to be?

1966D 10 pfennig, 1949G 5 pfennig.

Thanks for your help

Thanks fuzzy they both stick to the magnet.

I am having a difficult time finding info on my world coins. I am so used to the US coin websites that I use regularly and finding the accurate information. But, I don't know any good sites I should be using for my many German and other world coins in my collection.

Any good websites that anyone can provide to me would be appreciated. I would hate to have to keep asking when I can just look it up.

Thanks again

The NGC site usually has good basic information on world coins. They don't always have images or the clearest description but, it's good for a solid start. Here's their page for the 10 pfennig:

Krause guides are good. I got the 20th century one w/ CD so I could load the whole fat book onto the laptop.

Another site you can use is Numista. https://en.numista.com It's chock full of info. Plus, you can use it to catalog your coins.
