Knowing that UK will change its pound coin in October, I was surprise to find out that I have many £1 coins that I kept from changes. Unfortunately I don't know if these coins are worth more than its standard value. According to different sources, some of the coins are worth more than a £1. Can anyone help with that? Maybe point me in the right direction or the right resource.

Thank you in advance.

from what I have seen the bu's are going for more than the silver proofs in some cases, unless they in top condition there not going to sell for much more than face value, apart from the 2011 edingburgh, that might change once they out of circulation, its a big series of coins to remove from circulation so they might shoot up soon

Thank you for the info. I though some of those coins were worth something more than their face value.
