Where I marked in red arrows is the area in question. I do hope you will see. What do you think?

I would guess die chip, a Cud would be on the edge of the coin. I am only guessing chip because I don't know if that is part of the coins design or not.

A Cud is a type of error, so is a die chip.
A Cud will always involve the rim.

That might be a Doubled Die called the leaky bucket. Need a better pic though. I see you're cropping them right, you said you would. We need a clear close-up now.

Tried my best taking a close up photo...here are the best ones of them. I also added one that shows the way it should look like again not the greatest but you can still see it. Any ideas as to what is the cheapest best USB microscope camera I can buy?

I've been using the Opti-Tekscope Digital USB microscope. It's less that $100 and it works well for most of my needs and it's easy to use.

On the scopes, the lower the scope goes the better eg 5x-150x
You can get them for under $50 some are like $15. There will be a big learning curve with the led lights. I have a Celestron 44302 and a cheap AmScope (less than $20) I try to avoid using them and use a point-n-shoot digital camera in macro mode.

I just searched it. It is a chip. Pardon my memory please. There are a lot of Doubled Dies for the Homesteads, but this one is a chip. I too use a digital camera in macro mode. It's a Nikon Coolpix and it cost $200.

Thanks for the info for the USB microscope. I am looking into getting one. Hopefully soon. My camera really doesn't take close ups good.
