I have had a few buyers that are not leaving any feedback. One was delivered over a month ago. I sent a follow up e-mail and got no response. Is there a time limit for when they need to leave it by?

Feedback, unfortunately, is completely optional. There is no rule that you have to leave it and some are just plain lazy like that. There is a 60 day window in which you can leave feedback. It is especially frustrating when you are new and trying to build up feedback.

There are some instances where I do not leave feedback, high dollar items, or items I do not want people to know I bought. I do not leave feedback in hopes that they will not leave me feedback.

Also Jim, be very careful requesting feedback from buyers via email. I have actually seen things along these lines....

Buyers-Not-Leaving-Feedback There's your stinkin' feedback, happy now?

Not that this applies at all to you, but I've never left feedback on transactions I'm feeling ambivalent about. If I'm any way dissatisfied, I contact the seller first to see if it can be resolved. If negotiation is unlikely, and they haven't rated my prompt payment, I don't even bother rating them. However, I'm now seeing a trend where sellers leave feedback first--a good thing, imo.

As a buyer, I leave feedback only occasionally, because I don't want people to see what I purchase and for what price. My other reason I don't leave feedback most of the time is that frankly, I think the feedback system is terrible.

As a seller, I only leave feedback after the buyer has paid, received the item and is happy and left me feedback first.

I probably have done close to 1000 transactions yet my rating says around 250. So 75% of my transactions (buyer or seller) do not lead to feedback.
