Not going to gain much removing it from the bezel which is probably also gold. I say in this case, keep it as is since it is a common date. Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe take it a professional jeweler since they have small tools and have steady hands. I actually managed to remove a coin with prongs without damaging it with a very thin piece of wood so it would not scratch the surface Report this Post to the Staff
