No DDR. Nice crack though. I would call it a pre Cud but there is a correct term that I don't remember. John1

I believe the term you're think of is Retained Cud John. Nice one!

Retained Pre-Cud, I believe. Nice find Iwanndao! You should check COC to see if it's listed.

Nice find Iwannado! Got good eyes to catch that. Probably worth a buck or two, market mfor those errors isn't very big, don't know if it's a collector's type of coin or just a Finder's "Braggin' Rights" kind of coin, seems to be more of the latter when looking at who's finding them...I know I don't catch 'em nor collet them either.

You're in the $8 to $10 zone with that coin.

Right now it is a die crack, get a little vertical displacement but with the piece of the die still there then yu have a Retained Cud. If the die piece falls away completely then you've got a full Cud.

As I recall, Ken Potter said it should show horizontal or vertical displacement to be pre-cud. Not all experts agree though.

I won't accept horizontal displacement because in order the be a die BREAK the piece of the die has to have separated from the main body of the die. If you have vertical displacement you know the pice has broken completely off the die. With horizontal displacement the pice could still be attached. Think of it like splitting a piece of wood. You hit it with the ax and it may split completely onto two piece. But if it doesn't you still have one piece with horizontal displacement. So until you get vertical displacement, all you have is a wide crack.
