A few years ago I won a 1719 Peru Escudo but it took a few months to export the coin from Spain. Its was suppose to have a mel fisher photo certificate but it was lost. The number was PC5 30920 which actually had also been sold a few years earlier in a Sedwicks auction. It will cost about $400 to get a new certification from the Fisher people but I wanted to know what the cert would actually say and I get no information from them. The date 1719 pushes the piece past the 1715 fleet so what would the Fisher people be certifying. Any thoughts?

I can't offer any help but I'll ask the Mods to move this to the main coin forum.

That seems like a lot for just a cert.

I actually heard back from the Fisher people and this coin was a land find so the COA just indicated that the coin is real. NGC already did that so its not needed.
