EF 40, flat curls and the eagle appears quite weak. My guess, not an experts opinion.

Center rub on both obverse and reverse typical of AU, rather than weak strike (which it also displays).
I wouldn't count on this being above 53, at the outside.

looks 55 in spite of limited luster. attractive.
