Hi friends,

I am new to this forum, so please help me if I'm doing something wrong. I am not a collector, but I own some coins which were inherited or given to me as gifts. I will try to identify some of them. Lets start with this one:

azerbaijan,
Welcome to the forum.
You haven't shown the other side of the coin but it looks like the common Maria Theresa thaler, struck by many mints, used as a trade coinage; assuming it is silver, worth the value of the weight of silver.

There are many variations, most of them restrikes. From the "7" and "AVST" this is restrike.

Search for "Maria Theresa thaler" for older thread or visit http://www.theresia.name/ for more information.

I remember the very first time I bought one of these thinking it was something especially nice and old before I learned the truth.
