Nice find!

I agree with the Verdi-Care suggestion. Especially with such small apots, it'll halt that process and may remove most evidence of it ever being there.

You may want to use acetone first, though.

There are varieties of this token. Wish I had my book here. Different than mine. Mine has square epaulette yours appears rounded and other differences. Nice snag. Verdigris looks minimal and I bet you can make it disappear with others advice above.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that lady that is seated on the reverse representing commerce
looks like she is in a wheelchair?

Nope, not just you. I always thought that of this reverse:
