I've been going through some coins I haven't looked at in years. Too bad on the reverse damage... Anyone care to grade this one? Rick

A coin of this magnitude and level of wear would likely land in a problem-free holder as a VF-35 or so.

I'm 50/50 on if this will straight grade. First off it has an old cleaning as noted, there are 2 big gashes on the reverse (the neck and right wing), the obverse has 2 scratches by the jaw and the bottom of the hair near the ear. Gradewise its vf30/35. It's a toss up, is it worth gambling on and sending in to get graded. The short answer is YES. They are quite valuable when they hit VF and up.

This one is worth the gamble of a TPG fee. It should certainly make VF at the minimum. It's just a guess if it will make it through without details.
