Poll Question
I got some nickel rolls at the bank today. One of them is a OBW westward journey roll. Should I open or leave as is? Results

Since you got it for face, stick it away.

There are not any major errors with this series as far as I know, so I would just leave it alone.

If it's something you're saving then I'd leave it. I look at rolls this way , the 2 on the ends are protecting the other 38.

Sure it's OBW? Could just happen to have "Enders". Hate to stick stuff like that away?

Is it the Ocean in View or the Bison? Which one? P or D? It depends if you are looking for a higher grade example than the one you now have in your set. If I get the time, I may break into my BU rolls of Bisons someday and put the very best examples in 2x2's and set the rest free.

Unfortunately, I don't know which it is. I see Jeff staring at me from both ends. But it is a P mint. I thought they had pictures of the particular issue on the rolls, but this one only has Westward Journey on the package.

I'd open. Save the best. Dump the rest.

If he's staring right at you then it's not the 2005. So I would open them up personally. Keelboat or Handshake Peace. Neither of these two get the attention the Bison does. I think there's a doubled die on the 4 in the date 2004 on the handshake one. I never looked for it.

Thanks for your votes. By popular demand, the roll is safely tucked away with a few other rolls of nickels and cents. Maybe the next generation can unwrap it!
