nice closeup pics. Thanks for showing those. Most of the large cents I see on ebay have more corrosion than this one. Little bit of verdicare and a toothpick would help I think.

It is a small date based on the number 6 in the date.
There are 3 different sizes of 6's used in 1846 large cents.
A Small, medium and a tall 6. This is based on the gap between the ball and the top end of the 6

I've never figured out how to make such corrosion less distracting. The price, at least, was reasonable. Always remember that there are lots and lots of this common date available.

fine 12-15 sounds right. attractive despite minor corrosion issues.
