I'm pretty sure it's not called a repeater, but what I'm talking about is when a single digit repeats itself within the serial. An example would be (made up number) L54444896M
What's the number for it to be either a keeper or worth a premium?
Correct, your note is not a repeater, but simply a statistical coincidence with thousands of different possibilities, very few with any value (an exception might be "00004444").
Frog, I don't think you understood the question. That number was something I made up when posting, but at what point is there a value to a bill that has the same number repeated?
I think I understand, and to me, 7 -of-a-kind and solids are keepers for sure. Anything less than that would rely heavily on condition and denomination .
I started looking through every bill now an it is driving me nuts. I get real close sometimes, even with star notes. Didn't used to worry about anything except red and blue writing. Not any more.
