shop around for a good price on this.
I have the 8th edition which has been quite sufficient and informative.
I do not have the 9th edition but the 8th is going generally cheaper than the latest edition.
Shop around for best price. I imagine price values given are updated in 9th and there is probably new info in it.

Are you talking about the 1982 Courteau pamphlet "The Coins and Tokens of Nova Scotia"? Look for a copy on the "Abe Books" website.

within the last 5-10 years some one did some separate guides for Wellington tokens, Ships and colonies tokens, Tiffen tokens, Bust and Harp tokens, and the Nova Scotia tokens. (I'm not sure I got the names exactly right) They are not price guides, more like study guides on the different types. They are 8X10 spiralled 20-30 page catalogues. I'm looking for the Nova Scotia one. I was at RCNA this past weekend and saw them all but the one I'm looking for. I have them at home and I am at work right now, so I don't remember the authors. there are two authors I think.

The Nova Scotia (2008) book deals only with the "thistle type" tokens. As far as I know they were only sold by mail order, not in stores but that might have changed. They are also much more than 20-30 pages; NS is 130 pages, Tiffin (2004) 96 pgs.
The books were done by Gregory Ingram and Branko Marelic. Contact info from back of the NS book;
