It because of all of the die wear since the U.S. Mint would over use the dies to save money. You're welcome carwash. That's amazing that they came out of the Mint bag like that. Errers and Varietys. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74818 Posts	Posted 10/13/2017 9:00 pm To keep this thread going, here are some of my interesting Die Chips finds found CRH. They are both circulated since I get bank boxes with circulated coinage from my bank. The first one is a 2007 Lincoln Cent with a huge Die Chip in the first Memorial pillar. The second one is a 1995 Lincoln Cent with a Die Chip in between the B and E in Liberty also known as a "BIE". Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
