Security rolls are becoming rarer however are still around, usually they do contain circulated coins, however on occasion you may come up with some un-circulated rolls depending on what the security company has available. They are becoming hard to get because mostly the security companies are offering and supplying coin in small sachet like bags.
I think for a good reason, it lower costs as the process if more automated, and it is faster, also easier for handling and such. More companies are using this type of coin because the security companies offer it at lower rates for delivery I believe, the best bet I would say is try the bank, although I still think you will have a hard time unless you find a branch willing to specially order it in for you.
Finally the reason they are security company rolls now is because the Mint does not supply (except for the special releases seen lately in the $1) rolled coin any more it is all bagged.

One other thing I will say about rolls is that as time goes on I think that you will find rolls of circulated coins, which have not actually been circulated but put straight to rolls will become quite rare, as it stands at the moment, I see very very few rolls with anything but circulated coins in. It is very rare for me to find any un-circulated rolls at all.
To find rolls of actually un circulated coins could eventually fetch higher prices then those listed in guides such as rennicks, purely because the security companies do not go out of their way to make them.

The best place to get uncirculated coins in rolls is from the National Australia Bank (NAB). Armaguard provide the NAb with their coins and have not completely changed to bags. Ask at your local NAB. If they ask and you are not, simply tell that you are a customer and that you left your Visa/Mastercard at home. :-) Bat your eyelids. Tell them your dog ate your homework. But importantly be nice and smile. They're human too and will generally always assist.

So the mint decides not to sell rolled coins, so random security companies do it? I mean isn't there other places to do that, that can be trusted?
I would tell them I left my mastrercard at home if I was 18.. but meh I'll be right without the rolls.. Might get them sometime in the future if they stil make them./

The RAM has started to sell rolled coins again. Last year they sold the APEC dollar. On May 1 thay will be selling the Scout $!.
The major companies that supply rolled coins are Armaguard and Chubb. While you can find new coins in Chubb rolls, I believe they are predominantly in Armaguard rolls. Armaguard has the contract with the National Bank, ergo going to the NAB is your best bet of finding new coins in rolls.

Security companies don't actually specially roll up new coins and sell them. I can tell you they do not even think about putting new or circulated coins in the rolls it is just whatever they have available at the time. You may not always find rolls at NAB though a couple of different places that I go like the coffee shop I go to banks with NAB and they get the plastic bag stuff from them, and also another take away shop is the same, so it will probbaly depend on the branch.

I am not sure what you mean? Why would electronics stores make up rolled coin? Mostly the machines that make the rolled coin are rather large and cost thousands of dollars.
I saw a roll with a very nice 2008 $1 showing on one end and only to urn the other end round to find it was a 1984 $1, no such luck as getting a close to uncirculated roll of the one year I think.

Actually Security Company is maybe not the best wording to use, but Armoured Car or Cash In Transit Security Companies. So not really like your every day Security company that has security guards, but the ones that actually deal with transporting money.

For uncirculated rolls, ebay and your dealer are the best bets. A lot of mint and reserve bank rolls still to be found on ebay.
