XF45-AU50. I think it may be AU but just a mediocre strike on an over-polished die.

That year is known for miserable strikes. Luster and lack of contact marks, probably AU to possibly MS. We would need better picks.

According to the photos you provided something is not quite right with this Nickel . Produce better sharper pics and prove me wrong .

 with T-BOP that the coin just seems off, so we'll need better pictures. Judging from these, though, I'd say AU.

Possible reasons to plate a coin. Science project. Cheap test piece for someone looking to plate some other greater value object. To sell it as uncirculated, when it is actually not...
