Quote: I think the lens needs to be higher to capture larger coins fully. Mine is like that, too. I just set it on the box it came in. Looks like you got some good pics already so enjoy it!

Yes, with the flexible neck scopes you have to get/make a plastic block to raise the base under the scope up from the supplied plastic flat base. Actually very easy to do. But yes, nice photos!! Give Tom (USSID18) a heads up!!

Hey TheForce, you got it. Great! Yes, there might be a little jury rigging setting it up to get the focus and lighting the way you want but for 30 bucks or so, I don't think you can beat it. What do you think? You like it?
Thanks for the heads-up Mark!

I am liking this a lot! Having trouble with the lighting on darker coins such as cents.

Those pics look great , I also recently got one but have only messed around with it for a bit.I'll have plenty of time this weekend to play around with it and get the lighting right. The pics you posted look great and I can't wait to tinker with my set up and share.

TheForce, Just an FYI that might help you. Besides the light on the scope, I use an additional light to neutralize and glare coming off the scope.

I was messing around with another light source but it wasn't going well. I find natural light works best but I don't get that when its dark.
