Hi All,

This dollar was in a protective cover in my Father in Law's collection that I inherited. It says its "uncirculated" but I'm curious as to how it would grade. Its a lot shinier than it appears in the scans.

this coin is circulated with the wear and contact marks IMO grades VF-35 at best...

I know that a lot of times scanned images make the coin look a lot worse than it really is.

that one looks like a strong ef or maybe even au.

the " Bag marks " on the obverse are common for dollars, although the reverse has very few marks. There are signs of wear in the hair above the ear and on the eagles breast. dings on rim below date, another common effect of bag storage. strong AU, IMO.
