Hello I'm new here my name is Donna,I found this penny in my Husbands change,is this an error or damage?it looks like it's chipped?I'm new to this so I have no idea what kind of error this is or even if it is one.

it took a hit , notice how it's indented , so it' call PSD ( post mint damage) you can tell that by the way the light make shades on the edge of the hit.

Can you post a picture of the front of the coin? I'm pretty sure it is damage, but I picture of the front would help determine that for sure.

That area looks recessed, like another coin was pressed into the one pictured by a vise or hammer.

How do I add another photo to this thread?the front of the penny isn't damaged as far as I can tell.ill post it but I'm not sure how?

I figured out how but for some reason. Even when I edit the size,it keeps saying it's to big.

I would like to see the edge and the reverse to see what they look like. If raised above the rim and weak on the reverse opposite it, then it might be a Cud. If incuse to the rim, it maybe damage if the reverse is flattened. If the reverse looks normal, then it might be an indent on the coin? So more images would help us out a lot more. Thanks.

Im having trouble posting the front of the coin,I'm sorry.but I will add when I ran my finger on the edge it had a small piece of metal sticking out.and when I looked at the photo of the front it appeared out of round.if that makes sense.
