That zinc crud will never come off-some sort of corrosion reaction with the zinc. Thus it will never get a straight grade.

Otherwise about a VF for wear. It might retail for $1 but this is the stuff of junk bins.

Very common junk box coin. But even in a junk box it wouldn't sell because of the corrosion.

It's what I'd call a lake skipper, but the zinc would potentially harm the environment.

Yeah, with that corrosion, it would probably be worth practically nothing. Grade-wise, I agree with the others, and I am at VF-30 Details.

In Scandinavia we grade coins more conservative. In Denmark this coin is in fine condition with corrosion. It bears no value.

In Scandinavia this would probably get grade 1 with a note of corrosion or 1- because it's corroded.

Which books do you use in Denmark and Norway to look up the value of coins?

Any books you would recommend to someone who wants to learn how to grade Øre, Öre, Penniä or any other coins from Scandinavia?
