Hi everyone I'm new to the forums and saw this grading thread...what a great resource!

What do you think this coin will grade? Its currently on ebay:

I'm suspicious whenever I see a shiny dollar from 1935-1939. They're supposed to have matte surfaces, because the Mint didn't chrome the dies back then.

Yeah, I afraid this coin has been polished which takes away the value but, if you like it, that's all that matters..

Ignore the smooth look and focus on the dings and wear. It's heavily circulated and I doubt even if it wasn't a details coin it would make much past VF20. Bidding is already past trends value at VF20. Run away.
