I have been an avid american penny collector for the past five years and living in Canada it has always been easy to add a few from rolls of Canadian pennies, well this has mostly stopped now as the cull of all the Canadian pennies from banks. For the most part they won't let us collectors have them anymore.
I have resorted to asking friends to bring back rolls from the states. 1 good friend went on a Alaskan cruise and stopped off at Ketchikan where she picked up 20 rolls American and below is what I found.

2000's #295
1990's #249
1980's #138
coppers#294
bicentenials #4
canada #5
skunkie ones #9
wheaties #8 best a 1925S the rest in the 50's

Which brings me to my header, that is an amazing ratio of coppers from the 60's and 70's, so Alaska might not have much gold but they sure like their copper.

I have only sorted them into decades so far, have not checked for any varieties.
I would have given anything for a 2017P, but no luck, guess they take a long time to get up there.

These were all Loomis rolls.

P.
Rest in Peace

Great finds. It is odd that Alaska has such disparities in cents. I suppose once they get up there, they have nowhere else to go.

Perhaps they are 1976 cents that have those stamps on the obverse?
