Franklin halves are a bear to grade via photos because of the huge areas that have no design elements. Luster is a really important part of deciding AU or MS and those large open areas are helpful in that regard. I see even undisturbed luster, so that helps establish MS. High points have hits and smacks that are more difficult to view. I'd still say MS. Too many hits to get much above MS-62, with a long shot at 63. Not FBL, but close.

I do not see any wear on this coin, but because it's so beat to an inch of Frankie's life , I have to call it MS-60. Definitely not FBL .

I would say 61 with nice bell lines, but not full.

I'm with T-Bop. MS-60. There is just too many distractions/hits that it looses all eye-appeal in my opinion. I would take a clean AU55 over this MS, personally.

I'm at MS-61 on this one. Looks like it spent a lot of time in a bag, but it appears to have surprisingly nice luster for the grade!
