The first is a Lebanese 50 Piastre (which you already knew) KM 17, .0959 oz silver, minted in Utrecht and worth only BV in VF $2.50 in XF. 7..5 million of these were minted.

The second is a 1958 Syrian 50 Piastre, KM 88, 0.0964 oz silver, worth $3.50 VF and $7.00 XF. Only 120,00 of these were minted.

I think the Krause values are pretty low for both these coins.

Thank you Snowman, I just want to get something right here, am I reading the numbers right, the one from Syria only 12,000 Minted or 120,000. Even 120,000 minted still sounds very very low that makes it very hard to obtain, I think ?. I believe, in the past years starting from the late 1960 and up, Silver coins where melted by the millions in thous parts of the country and else where. But I could be wrong about it all, Thanks again Snowman....

Oops, I left off the last zero. It should read 120,000. This mintage number isn't all that low for a world coin. Especially when you consider the difference in the number of collectors of US coins compared to that of Syrian coins.
