I found these 2 coins and not sure what causes this. VLDS or something else. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Deteriorating dies I'd guess, although their isn't the "crepe paper" type lines toward the periphery.

Look at your first quarters mint mark. The P looks like it's sitting on its shadow.

Moxking, The "we" and the "ust" are the same way. I'll try again later to get better pics. I just couldn't seem to show what I wanted to in this first round.

They may have been made with the same obverse die. In that case, coin #1 is of a later die stage than coin #2.

Reverse is showing some MD on the incuse devices on the outer ring. But nothing worth saving on this one. Tired dies and MD.

Die Deterioration Doubling and MD ( Machine Doubling). Not worth any extra. Worth 25 cents. Don't even bother saving them. You are not going to get more for them.
