Redifin Pillar of the Community United States 505 Posts	Posted 08/14/2017 08:52 am I picked this dime out of a roll, along with 3 70-D rev 68's , and decided to check with you guys. I personally think there's foul play and it is NOT a case of the clad layers falling of before or shortly after mint. What do you guys think? Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/14/2017 10:49 am Do you see the silver color showing through on the reverse? That is an indication that the cladding is there, but covered over a bit with something. If the cladding was missing then the color would be a darker color of red with no hint of the silver color showing where the covering additive is showing. On the larger coins, the missing cladding will show weakness on the strike. Report this Post to the Staff
