Thank you for posting nice pictures of a Cap and Ray Eight Reales from the second republic. These coins are my favorite series at least the counterfeit ones.

The 8R is in my opinion a genuine Zacatecas issue and it has a streak of fire scale on the surface near the center of the Cap. It appears to have caused a very shallow delamination. This kind of problem is more typical of later date second Republic issues. These years saw higher rates of minting issues like this.

Nice looking coin, I have to get one of those myself someday! I've always liked the Cap and Ray design
