OK -- I just searched through 192 pages of this thread, and I see that several "oldest" coin challenges have been issued, but not a simple "oldest coin in your collection" challenge.
This challenge is very simple in concept, but still has complications when you start to formulate rules:

Post your earliest coin.
1) Normal circulating coins, NCLT coins, notgeld, and tokens with a written or unwritten date are allowed. Not allowed are banknotes, stamps, private/non-government rounds, patterns, fantasy coins, checks, pre-coinage items (like cowrie shells), etc.
2) The date range that the coin was likely produced counts, whether or not it is written on the coin. Some reputable (and reasonably modern) reference book should be used to establish the date range. Dates are converted to the usual AD/BC scale.
3) One point is awarded for the last year of the date range when the coin could have been produced. BC coins get a negative number of points. The coin with the fewest points (presumably the most negative) wins. Example -- coin was produced from 40BC to 13BC, gets -13 points.
4) The year when the coin was actually minted will override any dates written on the coin.
5) Coins dated after 2018 will get 2018 points (unless it is known that the coin was produced prior to 2018).
6) Posts with no coin will receive 2019 points, and will count in the leaderboard. The first one of these posts might win, if nobody posts any coins for this round.
7) There is no bonus for an exact match.
8) In case of a points tie, the earliest post wins
9) If one poster submits multiple entries, only the one with the fewest points will appear in the leaderboard.
10) Cutoff for entries 20:00 forum time, 2018-11-20
