Thanks guys!

I'm pretty busy with my new job and duties around the house, but I'll try to be a good host for you all.

For this challenge, let's do the opposite of the previous round, with a little twist. We are now looking for the wordiest coin you own, but only ones that contain complete sentences! This can be in any language you choose, but please provide a translation in English for us all to read!

Anything with a face value is fair game; no medals or other random things.

Each grammatically correct sentence (Complete thought with a noun and verb) counts as one point; fragments of sentences or partial thoughts with at least three words are worth half a point. Since I know this is going to come up:
- In God We Trust is a point - it is a full sentence.
- E Pluribus Unum is a half point - it lacks a verb
- Dei Gratia Rex/Regina is a half point- it also lacks a verb
- Any variant of (Name) king/queen of (Place) is a half point - No verb!
- Coins in another language without an explanation are worth zilch!
- Clearly stating how many points your coin is worth will make me a happy Finn!

My challenge coin: An Umayyad silver dirhem from Wasit, 119AH:

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

Left center: There is no god but Allah alone. He has no equal.
Left margin: In the name of Allah this dirhem was struck in Wasit, year ten and six and one hundred.
Right center: Allah is one God; eternal and indivisible, who has not begotten and has not been begotten; never is there his equal.
Right margin: Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. He was sent with guidance and the true religion to reveal to all religions, even if the polytheists abhor it.

By my count, that would be a six point coin.

Another example: Japan 2 shu:

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

Left: Silver-Made / Mint Authority [Certified]
Right: Take 8 pieces to exchange (for) 1 ryo gold

I'd count this as a 1 point coin - the instructions form a complete thought, but the other side is two separate two-word partial thoughts, not strictly related to each other.

I'm sure that's confusing enough, so what the hey!

Have fun!

Hmmm...that's interesting. I'll have to scan what I have as I've never searched for something like that, specifically.

I'm surprised no takers yet - just as a hint, basically every US commemorative with at least one motto in addition to IGWT and EPU will be worth two points!

Here is a Jital from Eastern Khurasan minted in AD 1221 (second Rabi month in 618 AH). The obv legends translate to "Dated to Rabi II, of the year 618" and "Al-Malik", while the rev legends translate to "Kurzuwan", "There is no God but Allah." and "Muhammad is the apostle of Allah." 0.5 + 2 = 2.5 points for me.

I suppose this is two points? Assuming United States of America is half a point.

Otherwise, 1.5 points for participation.

I try this one, one of my favorite copper coins:

"Hercules-type" 5 sols Monneron, a heavy weight copper piece made in the UK by a James Watt type steam power mill by private bankers (the Monneron Brothers) to support the monetary system of the French Revolution

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

obverse LES FRANÇAIS UNIS SONT INVINCIBLES
L'AN IV DE LA LIBERTE
reverse MEDAILLE QUI SE VEND
CINQ-SOLS
A PARIS CHEZ MONNERON PATENTE'
legend: REVOLUTION FRANCAISE 1792

the edge inscription is really interesting:

LA CONFIANCE AUGMENTE LA VALEUR

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

worth a few points I guess

Nice entries all!

I started to tally up the points last night, but dozed off!

Here's the final count by my count:
(And Jbuck is right- "United States of America" should count as 1/2 point)

Keith12 - 3 points ("Enriching the future..." IMO is a sentence)
Spence - 2.5 points
Jbuck - 2 points
Dorado - Participation - Can you find a full translation? Sorry, I can't read Arabic!
Spruett01 - 2 points (The extra add-on unfortunately would also count as "other random things")
1c5d7n5m - Participation - Can you weigh in on the translation? I know enough about French to know that the obverse is a full sentence, but I'm not sure about the rest.

We can wait until tonight for the unknowns, otherwise, Keith12 is the winner!
