Numista lists a diameter of 6.38mm. If I remember correctly, mine is about 6.5mm at the longest point. I will dig it out to confirm the measurement.

Really glad to see a time and some Maundy money!

Thanks - I am really loving all the ancients and that wire money of Russia Gincoin43.

Love this game - it really helps us all dig to the depths of our collections to find the really interesting stuff and everyone has a different interpretation on each challenge!

By the standards of the competition - this coin is huge and like Dorado - I am fishing for a participation point here!

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

Ceylon 10 cents - silver and 14mm in size, one of their many small coins - but crown sized next to the Indian cashes and the wire money

I don't have any calipers, so I can't be super precise, but it's actually about 7mm at its longest.

So, this competition is: post your oldest coin that is

1) still being minted today for circulation

2) having the same size and metallic makeup as the modern coins. For example:

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!
Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

The definition of "same metallic makeup," only applies to metals that are more than 10 percent of the content. In other words, if the old and new coins are 95% copper or 90% silver, a change in the metal makeup of the remaining 5% or 10% of the coin is not disqualifying.

Bottom left coin. I think 1850 - 1900 all nickel, but now copper nickel - hope thats okay. If you are gettiung pernickelty over obverse the 1880s one should suffice

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

1850 10 Batzen Switzerland Bottom left.

170 years.

Bottom left looks like a 10 Rappen to me, It should be 10% silver if the date is 1850. They are copper*nickel from 1879-now except for 1932-1939 which were nickel.
