Zoo is closed - Results Bd 251 - 1 point Dorado - 17 points (Did not accept Panama dime as its same size and similr planchets to US dime) Keith 12 - 2 points (Nearly subtracted one for you complaint about a rule that benefitted you!) Arkle - 1 point. However the competition was for the smallest coin and thus the winner is DRUMROLL Spence - his gorgeous Greek ancient at just 10mm is the winning coin. SPENCE CONGRATULATIONS The ball is in your court Thank you everyone else for entering and Dorado, a special Highly commended prize for you 18 coins is just phenomenal - you are dedicated my friend!

Ok sweeet!
As I recall, previous contests have included the smallest coins (which turned out to be gold) and, more recently, the smallest copper coins. Therefore, this contest is for the smallest diameter silver (51% or higher purity) coin. Only circulating coins please. For your pics, no need for a rule or reference item, but please list the diameter in your post. Excessively worn or shaved coins are not ok. I'll try to find one of my best later today.

This is the coin I considered posting in the last contest. I did make a scale pic, but it didn't arrive in time, and I had enough other things on my mind that I didn't really feel like resending it. Kyzikos hemiobol, 5th century BC. 9 mm, 0.34 grams. Ancient coins can get way tinier than that; here is a particularly small one (not mine, alas).
