Here's one that's easy to count: Commonwealth Realm of the Gambia -- 1 shilling, 1966 (13 leaves):State of Qatar -- 10 dirhams, 1973 (11 leaves): I also have a 1932 German 5-mark oak tree coin, and 1970s New Zealand dollars, but I'm too lazy to count up all the leaves on those.

Lots of coins where I can't be bothered to count the leaves, and/or I'm not even sure which protrusions count as leaves. I think the largest I could find on short notice where I could do an exact count is this 1959 silver Roosevelt dime... I count 11 olive leaves on the left and 8 oak leaves on the right, for a total of 19 leaves.

I was just going to ask how the palm tree would be counted

Quote: I was just going to ask how the palm tree would be counted I'm counting each big leaf as one. Looking on the internet for pictures of "palm leaf" usually shows a big leaf composed of many small spines. The small spines are far too numerous to count -- Maybe I should replace this entry with something else?

I would count the big palm leaves as 1. You can't really see the protrusions anyway. So if you have something with more leaves, go for it.

@everyone, please give me your leaf tally. If the numbers are close I will double count.
@Arkie, I will assume that is correct for now. I admit I did not realize that some coins had so many leaves! I wonder which one has the most?

If I counted correctly, this coin has 62 leaves.
