It has a roll from Philadelphia and Denver in it. The roll of Denver nickels were nice with golden toning on all of the coins from the wrapper. I pulled a few examples for airtites and stored the rest. I moved onto the Philadelphia roll and almost all of the nickels look like crap. They are spotted and have bag marks all over them. I did find a few nickels that had some interesting things on them. They are below. I found 5 of the 40 nickels with this mark directly under Jefferson's nose. It's gouged into the coins and at first I thought it was PMD. I also found 4 of these nickels with a neat die chip? inside the O of God. I have 5 more of these sealed mint boxes dated 02/11/05. I thought I might get lucky and find a speared bison.

My guess for that mark under the nose is a bent feeder finger scraping the planchet before it was struck. IF that is the case, you have a minor mint error.

The potential for a speared bison has opened a lot of rolls and boxes. I like what you've found thus far, and wish you better luck if/ when you open more.

@sel_69l, I noticed that all of those that have that mark under the nose have a similar, minor mark in the corner of the eye.
@moxking, I thought I had a better chance then most since the first one reported dated back to March 2005 and all my boxes are dated February 11th.

Or a detached leg. Very true. I know of the speared bison, wounded, detached leg, broken hatchet, two horned, and bald. Lol. Though a few of those I think, were overhyped. I definitely was looking for that detached leg.

Jamie Frankie the Designer of the 2005 Bison Nickel =, Bought Boxes of 2005 Bison Nickels at a bank In Ashville ,North Carolina on March 2, 2005. They were then transported to the Bison Refuge in Ashville that day March 2 ,2005 for a Opening Day Ceremony for the release of the Bison Nickels.
These Boxes were Dated March 10 ,2004 on the Bottom.
These Rolls from March 10,2004 are still you S Mint Factory Sealed and maybe the only known 1st Strike from the you S Mint.
If you were able to Purchase Rolls or Bags from the you S Mint on this Release Date, I would like to hear from you.
I believe they were no Errors reported until March 2005 and would like to know the Date on the 2 Roll Sets that had the errors on the Speared Bison. I think I have a few , but they are still you S Mint Sealed. Thanks goldnugget
