Hello and welcome!

In reviewing your post I've identified the following:
c1622 Holy Roman Empire medal
obv: legend: FERD. II. DG ROM. IMP. GER. HVN. BOH.R.AR.; exergue: ANO 1622
rev: legend: EN. DANTE IEHOVA SIC DEINDE VIREBIT.; inscriptions within portrait medallions: left: FERD. II DG ROM. IMP. GER. HVN. BOH. RAR right: ELEONORA DG IMP. GHB REG. DM
Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor of Germania, Hungary, and Bohemia married his second wife Eleonora Gonzaga of Mantua on 2 February 1622
The hole and wear patterns on both sides are consistent with its use as a pendant with the wearer rubbing both sides on occasion.
Medals of this period can be found cast or struck and in a variety of metals, including bronze, tin, etc.
I am not sufficiently familiar with medals of Austria to determine its authenticity and have thus far been unable to locate a similar specimen. However, perhaps the information I've shared above will enable you or other members of the community to find more details.
Thanks for posting this!
