#4 looks the most promising. Good luck on a tough hunt.

I think no 3 has the best chance here out of the 4 shown. Although I can't see the leg of the 2 swing up to a point toward the back of the top of the 3, It appears there is a base of the two there. It has the same shape ( with a dip ) as this, and the three looks a bit thin in the same area as this one. Your call tho. I like to see that swing up section of the leg of the 2. There are some that get passed off as these with a die gouge that is mistaken for that leg of the two. It looks like the one in picture No 1. No way can I be sure on any of these. here's mine, compare

I don't think I would take a chance on any of them myself. You do want a nice one anyway. Of course you could always ask for a better picture. LOL! Notice the doubling on the left side of the 4 in 43 to when you look for one.

Thanks everyone for the input! #1,2 & 4 are a few bucks each, so worth that risk of there's enough going for it. It seems that #4 is the most interesting so, here's another seller pic of that with opposite lighting direction (from the south instead of north): It may just be an aberration. It's probably too little to go on and I really see no doubling on the 4 in either lighting situation. I'll keep watching it and may make a compulsive decision at some point.

#1 does have a lil spike coming off of the tip of the 3.

Don't think I'd want to own one that didn't clearly show the overdate with this sort of magnification!

If the price is right (spot silver) then it's worth it perhaps. I'm not seeing it on any of the subject specimens and I agree with Roy regarding the spike. But I think it's a gouge unless there is a bar under the crude on the inside bottom of the 3.
