We have no idea what it's worth if anything how to know. We just looked it up and it said somewhere that one sold for $22,000. Report this Post to the Staff

westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7628 Posts	Posted 08/20/2017 01:17 am Welcome to the Forum! Your coin is a common circulation business strike Philadelphia minted coin. They were purposely issued without a mint mark. There were a few Proof strike coins from the San Francisco mint that were struck with a die that did not have the "S" mintmark punched into the die. Those coins were only issued in proof sets. Those few issued proof coins without a mintmark are very rare. Similar incidents have occurred over the following years. Report this Post to the Staff

spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 08/20/2017 03:37 am I agree that it is a common business strike and not a no-S proof. Take note of the uneven thickness of the rim on the obverse (heads) called a mis-aligned die (MAD). That's common for business-strike coins and is a negative identifier for being a proof.
