A few months ago I started a topic asking how many coin shows CCF members had attended. It was a popular and fun topic with a lot of variety so I thought I'd start this topic.
How Many Different Coin Shops Have You Visited?

Personally I've visited 12 different coin shops over the past 15 years if my memory is correct. Some were tiny and didn't have much in the way of inventory, others had large, varied selections and one memorable shop that had a incredible displays of coins & currency that I'll likely never be able to afford.

I think ten, give or take one. This is over a 37 year period, so you will forgive me if I miscounted.

No more than a dozen total. Then again, do you consider shows as just, like, a really big temporary coin shop?

I am now proud to say one (and not zero). I also have my sights set on another about 30 miles from me.

Does ebay count? I've been to quite a few up and down the east coast, I can only think of three that would be worth the time for me to go back to though

I have visited four, well three and a half really.
When I was a kid I used to visit a shop in Romford, I was quite upset to find it had disappeared after I took a break from collecting. Its the only shop I visited regularly.
I also visited a place in Central London where I sold two big wads of old £5 and £10 notes which were found behind the shops safe when we moved premises.
When my aunt died I took her old stamps to a shop in the Strand who told me its worthless after looking at it for all of about 20 seconds.
Finally Colin Narbeth and Sons in Central London have had me through the doors a few times when I am in the area but they only score half since they are a Banknotes and Cigarette Cards shop more than coins (they have one or two, some medals etc)

About 40 that I can think of. Maybe more. I visit shops in every place that I visit, if possible. Of course, many that I visited years ago no longer exist. Discussion of the quality is a whole different topic, but I have been to a few where the casual customer seems to be a nuisance.

Three over the last 20 years and two of those are now 1,300 miles away. The one I visited recently had about 30 coins in his case none of which spoke to me. There are a few shops further away that I may try someday but with ebay at my finger tips at home I'm not sure it's worth an hour plus drive.

The big city to my northwest has all the shops, and since I can't legally drive 40 miles to get there, you get my dilemma.

~5 or so. Not my typical venue for purchasing coins.

I would say 10-12 different coin shops in my 50+ years of collecting . I remember one of my very first shops when I was about 13, bought a 1910-S Lincoln in extra fine cond.'' back then there was no numerical scale '' anyways I remember paying $10 for it , when I brought it over to show my Grandmother she had a fit and a half after I told her a paid $10 for this coin . She couldn't believe I spent so much money for a Penny! Ahh yes a true coin collector in the making !

I'm not sure I can even say one with a straight face. The one store I visit regularly has a large selection of coins along with jewelry. But recently, they took a corner of the coin sales area and added a counter to sell guns and ammo! The other place I visit occasionally, is an antique shop that has a pretty good selection of raw coins. In speaking with the owner, he said that he comes across most of the coins when people call him to buy up estates.
