I came across this as I was looking at my recent purchase of over 300 wheat pennies (I'll make a separate post to talk about that) and I wanted everyone's opinion on it. Is this PMD? Ignore the funky stuff happening on the left wheat head it was just some gunk that came off. Thanks everyone!

it looks like either a Lamination or a Struck Through.

That horseshoe looking hit? That's PMD, the I in liberty is worn or greasered, is VLDS, lotscof metal flow curling and stretching of letters, a pretty wild MM punch! Seeing rim hits and smashed/raised/cruud globs oon reverse rim, kinda normal for bein' through two world wars, so many regional conflicts to count, and all those darn "penny arcades" in his long life, think he's done fairly well, don't you?

I'm still taking pictures of everything and trying to write it all down in a list so you guys can know what I have. I got a great deal on them and I want to see if anyone can guess how much I paid for everything.

Just a guess. I am not apologizing again. Why should I be sorry? I don't feel bad. Think of me whatever you want. Also about the 1943 Die Clash post. What you said made me mad and I didn't appreciate the comment. I know the cause was the dies hitting together. Don't ever make me feel stupid again because I'm not stupid.

I've been collecting, buying, selling, and trading for over 40 years. I still learn something new on these posts very regularly.
I've had disagreements with some of my most respected peers such as IndianGoldEagle and The Frog. In every case one or the other of us learned something.
Make disagreement an opportunity to learn.

Quote: Make disagreement an opportunity to learn. I agree too as long as no one is posting false information they know nothing about - that could possibly cost people coins and money.

completely with crazyb0 and Mark. I have been collecting for over 4 decades and it was until I joined CCF to realize how much more I needed to learn and am grateful for the knowledge I have earned from forum's members. This is not about one's ego, it is about a great opportunity for us all to learn something new everyday, Mark said it perfectly, offering an uneducated guess or advise can and will cost members coin and money!

Guarantee I've learned more from mox than he has from me! Anyway, this coin has PMD, rim damage and looks more like VF than EF to me.
