Looks like the obverse die was about to fall apart. What do you think she grades?

I don't think those are scratches Ham1947. My guess was they were die cracks because shadowtrooper78 said

They seem to be raised like die cracks but I'd wait for an expert to come along because I'm not sure

Yeah they're die cracks, pretty dramatic in hand. The one in the left obverse field runs from the rim to the B in Liberty. The one in the right obverse runs from rim through T and R in liberty through her hair then to the left rim. The one from the base runs all the way through to the top. Its faint and can't be seen in these pictures.

Hi I was curious Could Indiangoldeagle, moxking, or someone else who thinks it's VF30 explain why? Because I'm not seeing it. The hair curls and the eagles feathers around the shield look more detailed than VF30. I would really appreciate if someone would explain it to me because I'm new at this stuff

Buck - check the photo grade examples from PCGS. Those are the examples I and IndianGoldEagle use for approximation of grades.

Characteristic of the LDS of Browning-5. Personally, allowing for the effect of a crushed die on obverse strike quality, I'm pretty happy with it at 35. Regardless of PCGS' opinion, that's what I'd write on the 2x2.

Moxking I have the PCGS photo grade app on my phone. I obviously have some work to do though lol grading is a very tricky thing for me.

VF-30, perhaps 35. Wing tops and shield edges worn down, and all high points in the hair have clear wear. To me, grading guideline aside, this coin is very nice but does not "look" EF.

Attractive piece you have there. Probably VF30 unless they bumped it to 35 for eye appeal.
